About Institution: The UGMIT, Rayagada was established in the year 1979 with a single branch of Leather Technology with an intake capacity of 15 students per Annum. In due course, with the introduction of World Bank project for Technician Education, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Electronics& Telecommunication Engineering braches have been started with an intake capqacity of 40 each. As on today a total of 546 students are available in the campus. The admissions to Leather Technolgy course has been kept in abeyance since 1991.
