It came into being in 1970 as an Arts College with the provision for teaching pre-University Humanities course. The institute at present is a family of 1475 students with boys and girls of 869 and 606 respectively taking education at under graduate level in Arts, Commerce and Science disciplines with 80 numbers of teaching and non teaching faculties.
