B.A.M Khalsa College,Garhshankar was established in 1969 in the sacred memory of Babbar Akalis, the valiant freedom fighters who had an elevated aim and a vision before them. Initially the management of the college was in the hands of a local committee but later on they requested the S.G.P.C to take over the college. Thus in 1982, the S.G.P.C took over this institution.
