College Profile: Sikkim University presently located at Gangtok, the capital town of Sikkim operates from several hired buildings located along NH-10. The main administrative office of the University is located at Samdur, 6th Mile, Tadong. The permanent campus of the University is coming up at Yangang in South Sikkim. The nearest airport and railway station are Bagdogra and New Jalpaiguri respectively.

Qualifications:
Title of the project: "Large Scale Biological Network Reconstruction and Analysis for Identifying Therapeutic Targets for Alzheimer’s Disease: A Big Data Initiative
Duration of the project : 3 Years (01 year completed)
Position Available : Junior Research Fellow (JRF)]-One (01) Nos. (to be linked with PhD program)
Qualification : M.Tech. in IT/CSE, M.Sc (CSE/IT) or M.C.A. (regular courses only) from any recognized institute with good academic records, sound mathematical knowledge and programming knowledge in the environment like R, Python, PHP, java scripts etc. Candidate in final semester of their qualifying examination with exceptional programming skill and having experience of below mentioned preferred skill set may also apply.
Preference:
i. Proven experience in Data mining/Machine Learning/similar areas related to the project theme in the form of Research Papers.
ii. Hands-on knowledge in CUDA, PyCUDA, NUMBA or gpuR for implementing parallel methods.
iii. Programming experience in High Performance
Computing environment.
Tenure of Appointment : Initially for six (06) months and extendible up to the tenure of the project based on the performance.
