College Profile: The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu was inaugurated on 6th August 2016, and welcomed the first batch of students into the campus in Paloura, Jammu. In the initial phases, the establishment of IIT Jammu was done under the mentorship of IIT Delhi.In 2018, IIT Jammu shifted the primary operations to the Main Campus in Jagti, Nagrota. The State Government, Jammu and Kashmir has provided land for the establishment of a permanent campus of the Indian Institute of Technology in Jammu, which consists of 400 acres. Currently the Phase 1 A of the main campus, spread across 25 acres, is operational. Phase 1 B and 1 C are undergoing construction.

Qualifications:
Title of the project: "“Open Cell Composite Panels and Tubes under dynamic loading”.
Essential qualifications:
1.The candidate must have a logical understanding, analytical, computational capability, sound knowledge in the analysis of the dynamic system.
2. Knowledge of MATLAB/C programming, ABAQUS, GATE qualification will be an added advantage.
3. The candidate should have good knowledge of scientific writing.
4. Candidate having the following background can apply for this post -
a) M.Tech or M.S. in Structural / Structural Dynamics / Applied Mechanics / Civil or Mechanical Engineering
b) The candidate who has submitted their M.Tech or M.S. thesis and waiting for the result are also eligible to apply.
c) Age limit 32 for general and for SC/ST/OBC/ Women/PH age limit may be relaxed as per GoI norms.
d) B.Tech in structural or equivalent field from reputed institute having 2 years of research
experience are eligible to apply.
Duration: Initially for the period of Six months which maybe extended after review
