Qualifications:

Title: “Asian summer monsoon anticyclone (ASMA): Gateway of surface pollutants to the stratosphere”.

Sponsoring Agency: Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) under Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration (SPARC), Govt. of India sponsored project

Duration of the Project: 2 Years (Initially for the period of one year which will be extended to second year based on satisfactory performance).

Number of Vacancy: Two

Eligibility: PhD in Atmospheric Sciences /PhD in Physics with thesis work on Atmospheric Sciences along with 1st class in the preceding degrees. Candidates having experience in Asian Summer Monsoon, Stratospheric tropospheric exchange processes, knowledge of Lagrangian transport model and high performance computing (HPC) will be preferred.

Special opportunity: Selected candidates will have opportunity to visit abroad (Japan and Germany) for a period of at least six months and to work with highly distinguished scientists from reputed Institute/University. While in abroad monthly allowance of $1000 (About 71,000 INR) per month will be paid plus local hospitality by host professor.

Salary Package:

Pay scale:Rs.35,000/- pm.
