About College: PSG Institute of Management, a part of the renowned PSG & Sons' Charities is one of the prestigious and premier business schools in India. The genesis of the Institute can be traced to the establishment of the Department of Management Sciences in the year 1966 at the PSG College of Technology. A full-time two-year MBA program with approval of the Government of India was introduced in 1971, with affiliation to the University of Madras, the first of such a program in South India. The department was upgraded and was named PSG Institute of Management, as part of the PSG College of Technology, in the year 1995, with a view to enable the Institute to grow into a full-fledged management institute to offer academic and research programs, MDPs and Consultancy services.

Job Description / Responsibilities:
PSGIM is in search of qualified, energetic, PhD completed teachers in Management Studies discipline. The applicant should possess excellent communication and, reporting skills and importantly a flexible team player. Since the process of teaching is knowledge driven, PSGIM expects strong research capable faculty members to join its team. Candidates with exceptional educational merit/ industrial / entrepreneurial experience would be given priority.
The JD involves full time teaching assignments for Post Graduate students studying MBA/ PGDM. A thorough knowledge on business environment, a keen interest in conducting academic activities, an ability to read and connect with the business news, a clear case-based teaching capability and to deliver a higher knowledge lecture using well-equipped smart class rooms are essential part of the Job description of teaching profile.
Additional responsibilities involved would be to shoulder the Institute in the Out-bound training centre of PSGIM, to mentor the students in academic / co- curricular activities, to travel abroad along with students in international trips, to participate in the faculty exchange programs to the various universities under memorandum in different parts of the world, to attend domain relevant sponsored workshops and seminars, to consolidate the International Accreditation through research publications, to undertake time-based consultancy projects, to apply and achieve grants and aids from Central/State Government agencies, and last but not the least, to be a role-model for blooming managers in the campus.
