About College: Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean studies (KUFOS) is an autonomous public funded-institution established on 20th November 2010. KUFOS is the first fisheries university in the country. The headquarters of KUFOS with its enchanting blue building stands in harmony with the greenery at Panangad, 12 km away from Kochi city, along NH-47. It provides high quality instructional programmes in fisheries, ocean sciences and allied subjects. The University now has 75 acres in the headquarters at Panangad, 50 acres at Fisheries station, Puduveypu and 10 acres at Thiruvallom near Vizhinjam.

Qualification: 

• Ph.D Degree in Zoology/Aquatic Biology/Fisheries with specialization in Aquaculture/Mariculture or Ph.D in Aquaculture/Mariculture.
• A minimum of fifteen years of teaching experience in a University/Research Experience in a National or International Institute in the field of Aquaculture.
• Five years’ experience as Professor or equivalent cadre as per  ICAR/UGC norms applicable to Chair of Eminence/ Director of Research/Dean/Professor in the UGC pay scale.
• Record of Productive Research as indicated by published research work in international journals with high impact factor and should also have five years of experience in Research Administration / Management.
• Administrative experience in planning fisheries research, preparation of projects and implementation/ report writing and resource generation

Job Location: Kochi, Kerala

Salary: Rs.50,000/month (Consolidated)
