About College: Kanchi Mamunivar Centre for Postgraduate Studies (KMCPGS) is a Government of Puducherry Institution started in 1989 with the aim of imparting higher education at the Postgraduate and research level to the urban and rural society. It is affiliated to Pondicherry University. Now the centre offers PG courses in 12 Arts, Humanities and Science disciplines, M.Phil. Programmes in 11 disciplines and Ph.D. Programmes in 7 disciplines.. The Centre is a UGC recognized institution under 2f and 12B of the UGC Act 1956 with effect from 1993.
