About College : To fulfill the desire of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswmigalavaru, its Founder President, JSS Mahavidyapeetha took up a challenging task of establishing a Polytechnic for the Differently Abled (i.e., Handicapped) in 1991. This was the first Polytechnic of its kind in the country started to offer Professional Education for the Differently Abled (i.e., Handicapped ) at Diploma Level. It was started under the World Bank Assistance Scheme of the Government of Karnataka at a cost Rs. 120 Million and located in JSS Technical Institutions' Campus in Mysore city on 4 hectares of land provided by JSS Mahavidyapeetha.
