Description of the recruitment 2016 for various universities under the Govt of AP:
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has taken an important decision with regard to the recruitment of Assistant Professors in various universities in the state. The APPSC (Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission) will be entrusted with the recruitment process for about 1100 assistant professor vacancies in 2016.
The written examination for the recruitment of Assistant Professors will be conducted by APPSC. The recruitment will be taken up university wise. At present, the recruitment for the positions of professors, associate professors and assistant professors.
The APPSC may conduct a common written examination but the recruitment at the University level will be given to the institute concerned. The APPSC / Government will have to frame guidelines regarding the process.
The APPSC and Government will discuss the mode of written examination, scheme and pattern, syllabus, ranking process, merit list preparation with experts before taking a final decision. The research and experience will be an important criteria for these posts.
