About College: It began as a dream, fuelled by passion, faith and a deep will. Mr. Bashingam’s vision was to serve society through education. Emboldened by the support of his family members, Mr. Bashingam took his passion further and his experience of working for 25 years serving government institutions, to set up the Alpha Educational and Charitable Trust in 1992 with eminent persons from the field of education. As an initial step into the World of Education, he started Alpha Matriculation Higher Secondary School in the year 1992. Alpha soon included a teacher training institute and a college of education under its wings.
