IIIT-Delhi was established by the Government of Delhi in 2008 as per the IIIT-Delhi Act. The IIIT-Delhi Act ensures administrative and academic autonomy. The General Council is the highest body overseeing the institute, and advises the Vice-Chancellor. The Chancellor of the Institute is the Lt. Governor of Delhi, who also chairs the General Council of the Institute. The Board of Governors consists of the Director, the Chairman, four experts, two government nominees and two professors. The Board decides the salaries, the number of positions and selects the four experts. The Senate and Board can start degrees/programs. The Senate is empowered to take all academic decisions. The Institute's operational head is the Director. Overall policy making and governance rests with the Board of Governors (BOG)..

Qualifications / Experience:
For both Ph.D. and RA students:
a. M.Tech / M.S. / M.E. in CS / IT / ECE / EE or allied
areas or M.Sc. in Cognitive Science or allied areas and
b. B.Tech / B.S. / B.E. in CS / IT / ECE / EE or allied areas,
and
c. CGPA at least 7.5 on a scale of 10 or at least 70% (or
equivalent) in the graduation and the post-graduation degree.
Desirable Experience:
1. Ph.D. Student:
a. 1 – 2 years of research experience in signal processing
and machine learning.
b. A publication in the relevant area in an international
journal/conference of repute.
c. Strong background in python and/or Matlab
programming.
d. Team spirit and ability to work independently.
e. Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and
creativity.
2. RAs :
a. Knowledge of signal processing and/or computer vision
(RA1).
b. Knowledge about psychometric analysis and statistical
methods (RA2).
c. Advanced experience with C++/Python and/or Matlab,
reusable code and software documentation (RA1 and
RA2).
