About College: Opened in 1970, the Government concurrence and University affiliation at B.A. stage in the year 1973, I. Com in 1978, B.A. (Hons) in Hist. in 1978, Honours in Pol.Sc. and Economics in 1979, Honours in English, Odia, Sociology, Philosophy, Education and B. Com in 1989. Higher Secondary classes in Arts, Science and Commerce were opened in the session 1983-84. A Statue of one of the greatest Architects of Modern Orissa Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das was installed in front of the College on 12.2.79 by Dr Radhanath Rath under the auspices of the College Union.
